Solidify Processes = Dodging Needless Problems

Whether it is you yourself or perhaps your admin who is responsible for certain repeatable steps within your process, sometimes the ball will get dropped. Maybe you've heard this poem before:

For want of a nail, the shoe was lost;

For want of a shoe, the horse was lost;

For want of a horse, the rider was lost;

For want of a rider, the battle was lost;

For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost,

And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

You've felt this in your business right? One little piece of information wasn't correctly documented and now you've sent a cleaner out to a job without the specific ladder that they will need or without the key which needed to be picked up from the real estate or whatever.

Logical Justifications = More Shots on Goal

Several strategies within this course utilize the power of logical justifications. This allows you to create a "narrative" in the mind of your leads/customers SO THAT you are afforded more chances to book a job or repeat service offerings.

If right now things are kind of a "one and done" when it comes to leads who say "no" or clients who were serviced 12 months ago - then you are leaving TONNES of money on the table!

Branding = Customer Loyalty

Let's be real: people are busy. Your customers like you and you do a great job BUT with social media as it is right now and the fast paced world in which we operate, you have to assume that every client has the attention span of a squirrel on cocaine! You leave after a job and they forget about you. When it comes time to repeat - they may "see the need" but have forgotten your name, your business name, how they found you etc. They Google and this time end up with someone else OR they get an offer from another company and they say "yes" to them because it was easy and convenient. YOU might view this person as your customer - but do THEY view you as THEIR cleaner? Will they be loyal to you? They don't owe you that. Some will, some won't (so what) as the saying goes. But creating a strong brand and excellent customer service experience will move more from the "won't" camp into the "will" camp. Amassing a truly (and intentionally) loyal customer base is crucial to surviving economic storms.

Frequency = How Often People Buy From You

Let's say that, on average, your customers buy from you once every 12 months.

Do you think that you can get strategic and move some things around so that 1 in 5 of them buys from you 1 more time this year?

If you can, that is a 20% increase in Frequency (which would equate to a 20% increase in revenue all things being equal)

Referrals = How Many Jobs Come from Existing Jobs

Notice that that title doesn't say "how many jobs come from word of mouth"?

That is because there are "direct referrals" (such as word of mouth) and "indirect referrals" (such as booking a neighbouring job whilst you are on the job)

Josh further breaks this down into Patrons & Partners (direct referrals) and Proof & Puddles (indirect referrals)

Across those 4 areas, if you are able to get even 1 additional job from every 10 jobs that you do, that will be a 10% bump in the referral category (and a 10% boost to your total revenue all things being equal)

Average Ticket = How Much Money Each Job is Worth

By means of the broad categories of Scripting, Cross Sells, Upsells & Decoys, Josh highlights TONNES of ways to increase your average ticket.

Again, if you can bump up the average ticket by 20%, that is a 20% increase to your total revenue for the year.

Price = Well, you know what price is!

Increasing your price doesn't require a strategy. You just charge more. What DOES require a strategy is increasing your price in a way that doesn't tank your close rate or lose your customers.

This one is a touchy subject. But realistically, you can raise your prices by 10% and everything will be fine.

If we put some more care and strategy into the framing and the offer and the value and what not, then you might be able to raise your prices by 20%, 30% or 50% - let's chat about it. Josh will walk you through this and shift some furniture around in your head to help you get past the biggest obstacle to price raises (you probably 😉)

If you raise your prices by 20% not only will that increase your revenue by 20% (all things being equal) BUT ALSO that added 20% goes STRAIGHT TO YOUR PROFIT. If you have a 20% profit margin and you raise your pricing by 20%, then you just DOUBLED your take home profit!

Compounding = 🤯

Each of the above elements compounds with each other. If you are selling more with your average ticket AND it is at a higher price AND you are getting more referrals AND your customers are booking more often on average then DAMN!!

Taking the above example numbers:

Frequency 20%

Referrals 10%

Avg. Ticket 20%

Price 20%

Since they compound that would equal a 90.8% increase in your annual revenue AND based on a starting profit margin of 20% and assuming that we are only adding COGS expenses to half of the percentage points from F.R.A (not P) your profit increase would be 175%!

Those base numbers (10-20% shifts) are VERY conservative. There is likely A LOT more room to FRAP things up in your business!

Finding = Volume

A lot has to go right to get a great employee. You need to kick over quite a few rocks AND when you do find a great fit, they need to be interested and available. So the finding stage involves getting through a high volume of potential applicants AND ensuring that your job and (and business as a whole) is set up with the appropriate push-pull effect (attracting the right people, repelling the wrong ones.)
